The Excelsa® Flex Centrifuge Model 3400, was designed for use in laboratories and blood banks for micromethod centrifugation procedures. Due to its rotor options, it can be used in a variety of micro centrifugation processes, such as: blood group testing, blood typing, Coombs tests and cell washing, cytology (cell analysis), microhematocrit tests, micro separations in biochemistry or biology, such as radioimmunoassay (RIA), hormone receptors, amino acid analyses, immunological assay, DNA, separation of aqueous and non-aqueous materials, and in industrial and educational chemistry.

Main features

• Its base and structure are built with steel plates, with a textured epoxy paint finish, and its spinning chamber is made out of injection molded engineering plastic. The front part of the equipment is also made out of an injection molded plastic material, providing users with a more functional design, without neglecting equipment safety;
• Offers memorization of 10 work programs, microprocessor functions and digital reading of operations;
• Imbalance detection by an "accelerometer";
• Audible end-of-process notification and lid lock during the operation, with safety sensors;
• Features such as: acceleration and braking ramps for brake application and a timer for better control over processes and to enhance the accuracy of the information processed;
• A microprocessor controller that works in conjunction with a frequency inverter and brushless-type motor, with high capacity to maintain rotation at exact speeds, with low noise levels, in addition to providing a complete fault diagnosis which can be viewed on the LCD display of the control panel;
• Allows users to select rotor rotation in either RPM or G-force;
• The main display (LCD) shows RPM, centrifugal force, time, centrifugation and lid status and program number selected.
